Tour and cruise itinerary

Wed, May 23, 2012, Arrive London
Arrive at London’s Heathrow Airport, pass British Immigration and British Customs, and meet your personal driver in the arrival hall. Each arrival party has their own accessible vehicle (no group transfers) to avoid transportation delays after a long flight. Due to the likelihood of your flight arrival before 08:00AM, the total time with your private driver this morning is six hours. Your six hour takes into account a possible late arrival or your delay in processing after your flight. On the other hand, if you exit the terminal early, there are six hours to sightsee around the nearby town of Windsor, or Windsor Castle, or spend extra time seeing as much of London as you can. When your hotel room is ready your driver delivers you to your downtown London hotel. Hotel rooms are normally available around 2:00PM. Your reservation includes accessible accommodations with roll-in showers, daily full English breakfast, and all local taxes for the duration of your stay.

Thur, May 24, 2012, London Sightseeing
After a big English buffet breakfast join your guide in the hotel lobby for a full day of sightseeing around Britain’s most cosmopolitan city. The day includes multiple stops in our accessible coach and a licensed guide who is with you all day in London (8 hours). Lunch today is casual and on the go during your day since we've decided to see and hear as much as possible of London, rather than stopping at a restaurant for two hours. After a full day of sightseeing return to your hotel where the balance of the evening is for independent activities (B). With advance notice we arrange additional evening activities such as theater tickets, dinner reservations, and evening sightseeing.

Fri, May 25, Three tour possibilities
After a big English buffet breakfast each passenger has the choice to visit a second destination in England. We there are three vehicles and three tours operating simultaneously and participants join one program of their choice.
TRAVELER'S LONDON:
After a big English buffet breakfast join your driver in the hotel lobby for a full day in London with an accessible van enjoying organized and ad-lib stops and activities. In the beginning of the day it’s up in the air for a birds’ eye view from “The Eye” (timed admission provided). Originally called the Millennium Wheel, The London Eye is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe (443 ft), and is the most popular paid attraction in the UK. After the London Eye, roll a short distance to the London Eye Dock and board the Thames cruise for a scenic float up the Thames to Greenwich. Greenwich Pier provides easy access to the World Heritage Center of Greenwich, home of the famous tea clipper Cutty Sark, the Old Royal Naval College, the National Maritime Museum, the Queen’s House and the Old Royal Observatory. Return from your cruise and visit Madame Tussaud's wax museum, as time allows (B).

SHAKESPEAR"S WORLD AND OXFORD:
A full day with an accessible van, driver and guide exploring the birthplace of Britain’s most famous author. Set along both sides of the Avon River, attractions in Stratford Upon Avon include five houses relating to Shakespeare's life, Anne Hathaway's Cottage outside of town at Shottery, (home of Shakespeare's wife prior to her marriage), and Mary Arden's House, the family home of William Shakespeare's mother.
Lunch is on your own, on the go and sightseeing continues all day long in the region. After a full day of history and English literature, with time permitting there could be a visit to Oxford University and the home of Winston Churchill. (B)
STONEHENGE AND BATH:
A very full day with an accessible van and driver visiting Stonehenge and later Bath. The first stop on the Salisbury plain is at Stonehenge. Built in stages starting 5000 years ago, the enormous ring of stones comprising Stonehenge is the most famous prehistoric site in Europe. After your self-guided visit at Stonehenge, travel to Bath. Bath's fortune has revolved around their hot springs that have drawn tourists to Bath for over 2000 years. Supporting bathers in lavish accommodations throughout the ages, Bath is also famous for its glorious Georgian architecture and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bath’s famous green water is available to the hearty to drink- it’s considered healthy if you can get the emerald green color past your eyes as you swallow.

After a full day of sightseeing return to your hotel where the balance of the evening is for independent activities (B). Additional, optional, evening activities include: theater tickets, dinner reservations, evening sightseeing.

Sat, May 26, London to Southampton & Welcome Aboard
After a big English buffet breakfast join your driver in your wheelchair accessible coach outside your hotel for an enjoyable ride towards Southampton. Along the way visit Winchester Cathedral, one of the largest cathedral in Europe and the focus of a song of the same name in 1966 by The New Vaudeville Band. Later arrive in Southampton and board ship (B).

Sun, May 27, St Peter Port
Disembark ship on The British isle of Guernsey, the second largest of the Channel Islands, lying 30 miles (48 km) west of France's Normandy coast. The stop offers a mild climate, breathtaking scenery and a peaceful, unspoiled ambience. Between the wide, sandy beaches to the north and the rocky cliffs in the south are wooded valleys, marshland and winding country lanes. Guernsey enjoys nearly 2,000 hours of sunshine annually, making it one of the sunniest places in the British Isles. After a day of independent sightseeing board ship in time to sail for Cobh, Ireland.

Mon, May 28, Cobh, Ireland (Blarney Castle)
Disembark ship at pier side and meet your wheelchair accessible coach for guide for your first full day of visits in Ireland. Drive from the port to visit Blarney Castle and the tiny village in the lovely wooded countryside. Once here a short stroll through the grounds brings you to the Castle, where high up in the battlements is the famous Blarney Stone (Kissing the blarney stone is not accessible in any regard - at all). After our visit to Blarney village and castle visit the Old Jameson Distillery for a first hand look into the romantic past of the art of Irish Whisky making. If time permits, visit the Titanic Trail, in Queenstown, in the old town of Cobh. This entertaining and innovative walking tour has been operating every day since 1998. After a day of amazing visits around Cobh board ship in time to sail for Dublin, Ireland.

Tue, May 29, Dublin, Ireland
Disembark ship at pier side and meet your wheelchair accessible coach and guide for a full day of visits around Dublin. Many of Dublin's fine buildings have lasted unchanged over 200 years and it's a friendly place of authentic pubs, live music, good theaters and good street life. As the Republic of Ireland's Capitol it's the most populated city in Ireland and it's a navigators nightmare!!! The tendency in Dublin is to change street names every couple blocks and to subdivide streets into upper, lower, north, and south parts.
Drive along the famous Georgian Houses in Merrion Square, see the Grand Canal, St. Stephens's Green, Leinster House, the General Post Office on O'Connell Street, Trinity College on College Green, and Phoenix Park. Next visit the original Guinness Hop Store brewery built 200 years ago. The tour includes exhibits showing the manufacturing process, and audio visual presentation and free samples at the end of the tour. After a day of spectacular visits around Dublin board ship in time to sail for Liverpool, England.

Wed, May 30, Liverpool, England
Disembark ship and meet your wheelchair accessible coach and guide for a full day of visits around a town that's experiencing a great modern resurgence. Full of maritime history, bursting with musical heritage, and home to two of soccer's biggest teams, Liverpool is Britain's new-aged trendy destination. Buzzing with prosperous shops, new restaurants, hip hotels, trendy wine bars, with more museums and galleries anywhere except London. After a day of spectacular visits around Liverpool board ship in time to sail for Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Thur, May 31, Belfast, Northern Ireland
