The Golden Triangle

Day 1, (Bangkok)
Evening arrival, airport greeting, assistance and transfer to 5 star riverfront hotel.

Day 2, (Bangkok)
Morning city and temple tour. Visit Wat Traimit, the Golden Buddha, Wat Po, Wat Benchamabophit. Afternoon free for independent activities. Thai dance show-dinner theater, (B,L,D,).

Day 3, (Bangkok)
Morning tour of the spectacular Grand Palace and Wat Phra Keo. Afternoon rice barge cruise tour (2 hours). Evening Thai dance show-dinner theater, (B,L,D,).

Day 4, (Bangkok)
Afternoon to the outskirts of Bangkok to the Rose Garden and Vimanmek Royal Mansion (Ayutthaya Ancient City). Evening Thai Village show, (B,L,D,).

Day 5 , (Bangkok)
Floating market at Damnoen Saduak. Visit to Kanchanaburi and the bridge on the River Kwai. See War Cemetery and War Museum. Stop at Nakorn Pathom. Overnight at 4-star resort, (B,L,D,).

Day 6, (Lopburi)
Visit the ruin site at Ayutthaya and continue to Lopburi for lunch. Visit Pra Prang Samyod and Narai Palace. Overnight at 4-star hotel, (B,L,D,).

Day 7, (Pitsanulck)
Visit to Wat Mahathat and the ruin sites with lunch at a local restaurant, Afternoon touring in the countryside. Overnight at 4-star hotel, (B,L,D,).

Day 8, (Chiang Mai)
Drive to Sukhothai and Sri Satchanalai. Visit Wat Mahathat and the historical park. Drive for the balance of the afternoon to Chinag Mai by way of Lampnag. Overnight at the 5-star hotel, (B,L,D,).

Day 9, (Chiang Mai)
After breakfast visit the elephant camp. Conditions permitting, enjoy an elephant ride into the jungle. Visit the orchid farm and enjoy lunch in the beautiful Mae Sa Valley. Visits to several home "cottage" industries for shopping for local crafts, (B,L,D,).

Day 10, (Chiang Rai)
After breakfast the balance of the morning is spent touring and driving towards Chinag Rai. Lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight at 5-star hotel, (B,L,D,).

Day 11, (Chiang Rai)
Depart for the Golden Triangle and visit the Thai-Burma border at Mae Sai. Lunch at a local restaurant with time to explore this unusual border town. Overnight at 5-star hotel, (B,L,D,).

Day 12, (Chiang Rai to Bangkok)
After breakfast transfer to the GEI airport for your flight to Bangkok. Arrive in Bangkok, meet your connecting flight or transfer to a nearby 4-star hotel in Bangkok, (B,L,D,).

Arrive in the evening, meet our guide at the airport, transfer to the 5 star river front Hotel.

Day 2, (Bangkok)
City tour and temple tour to visit Wat Traimit, with the Golden Buddha, Wat Po, the city's oldest temple and home to the Reclining Buddha; and Wat Benchamabophit, the Marble Temple. Afternoon for independent activities,(B,L,D,).

Day 1, (Bali arrival)

Day 2, (Denpasar)
Three hour tour of Denpasar, the Capital city of Bali with visits to the Museum of Bali, Kumbasari Market, and the Art Center, (B,).

Day 3, (Barong Kintamani Mountain Tour)
Eight hour tour to Kintamanifor for views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. Stops at Batubulan Village to see the dance of Barong and Kris; Mas, Bali's finest wood-carving village; the Elephant cave at Bedulu Village; Holy Spring Temple at Subatu; the rice terrace at Tegalalang; and UBud Village, the center for Balinese paintings, (B,).

Day 4, (Mengwi-Bedugul-Alas Kedaton-Tanah Lot Tour)
Ten hour tour to Mangwi, the former Royal Temple; Taman Ayun Ulun Danu Temple, surrounded by lake Beratan; the vegetable market at Bedugul; Alas Kedaton, the holy monkey forest; and Tanah Lot, the temple built on an ocean-rock, (B,).

Day 5, (Besakih-Tenganan Tour)
Second ten hour tour visits Besakih, the "Mother Temple of Bali" on the slopes of Mt. Agung.
